Golden Skeleton Leaves Tag

I had a play in the craft room for an hour this afternoon, making this tag.

I used a white tag for the base using "Rusty Hinge" Distress Ink, spritzed and smooshed over the surface, drying with a heat gun and then repeating the process.

I then used Versafine Clair "Warm Breeze" ink to stamp the Funky Fossil Designs "Vintage Script" stamp on the two long edges of the tag.

Next I used "Carved Pumpkin" Distress Ink through the Tim Holtz./ Stampers Anonymous THMM101 dot stencil. I used a black Posca Pen to make some splatters over the surface of the tag.

I used some Funky Fossil patterned paper to die cut the leaves.  I drew around the leaves on the tag then added a layer of glue and applied gold coloured Cosmic Shimmer "Gilding Flakes",  brushhing off the surplus, I then glued the leaves into position.

I inked the edges of the tag using "Ground Espresso" Distress Oxide ink, then mounted the tag on to a piece of co-ordinating card.

Finally, I used a gold coloured gel pen to draw around the leaves.  I put some gold coloured "Stickles" on to a piece of paper and applied tiny areas of the sparkle using my finger tip.

The 100 Day Project 2026 - Day 12

Today is Day 12 of the 100 Day Project 2026.  A challenge where you spend a short time each day creating, using the mediums of your choice.  Mine is 4x4" card, using collage, stamps and stencils.

For my Day 12, I've used pieces of patterned paper with bits of Tim Holtz and Dina Wakley collage papers, with small areas of stamping using Versafine Clair "Bali Blue" ink to stamp with the Funky Fossil Designs "Vintage Script" stamp.

I've finished with splatters of black Posca Pen and a Tim Holtz "Idea-ology" word sticker.

52 Week Mini Art Card / Tag Challenge 2026 - Week 9

The Crafting Niche 52 Week Mini Art Card/Tag Challenge 2026:

This is a weekly challenge. I provide you with a prompt/theme each Sunday morning through out the year.  The challenge is very relaxed.  You can do as much or as little as you like.  You can create cards, tags, Artist Trading Cards (ATC's) or index cards, the choice is yours. You just go with what ever is in your head at the time.  You can stamp, get inky, use patterned papers, texture, embellish it is all down to you.

There is a dedicated private Facebook Group, with a lovely bunch of people who are already sharing their makes from previous challenges.  You can find the group by clicking this link.  I'd love you to join in.

The prompt for Week 9 is "Handbags & Gladrags".

I used a plain tag for the base and tore strips of patterend paper from the Prima Marketing "Tea Thyme" 6x6 paper stack, inking the torn edges of the paper using "Bundled Sage" Distress Oxide ink, before sticking on to the tag.  I then inked the edges of the tag using "Brushed Cordroy" Distress Oxide Ink.

I used the Funky Fossil Designs "Vintage Script" stamp to finger stamp areas of script using Versafine Clair "Acorn" brown ink.

I found a suitable Tim Holtz "paperdoll" image and one of his frames and used these together with one of his word stickers.  I coloured the paperdoll image with Derwent Inktense Pencils. then inked the edges of the frame with Versafine Clair "Acorn" brown ink.

On the computer I typed the sentiment of "Dressed to impress" printed it out, cut it down and coloured it with shades of "Bundled Sage" and "Brushed Corduroy" to give it a vintage look.

52 Week Mini Art Card / Tag Challenge 2026 - Week 6

The Crafting Niche 52 Week Mini Art Card/Tag Challenge 2026:

The prompt for Week 6 is "Woodgrain/ tree bark"

I painted a white tag with pale green/blue water colours for the base of the tag, then used Versafine Clair "Sand Dune" light brown ink to stamp the Funky Fossil Designs "Woodgrain" stamp".  I then repeated the proces in different areas using the same stamp but with "Acorn" mid brown Versafine Clair ink

In the gaps, I then stamped the Funky Fossil Designs "Vintage Script" stamp in Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" grey ink.

Next, I lay the Funky Fossil Designs "Large Polka Dots Stencil" over the tag and applied "Avocado" green Versafine Clair ink through some of the dots.  I then stamped the Funky Fossil "Ferns" using "Fallen Leaves" dark brown ink.

I used Derwent Inktense pencils with a paint brush to add extra colour to the woodgrain/bark,  I used a gold pencil to outline some of the green circles and to edge the tag.  Finally, I added a Tim Holtz "Ideaology" word sticker saying "Explore".

Day 22 of Karen Telfer's "24 Days of Tags 2023" Challenge

This is my Day 22 tag of Karen Telfer's "24 Days of Tags 2023" challenge.

For the tag, I have used the candles, fir branch and the sentiment from the Stampin' Up stamp set called "Merry Patterns".

I stamped the candles and sentiment in Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" grey ink, stamping the fir branch in Versafine Clair "Rain Forest" green ink.

I coloured the background with two shades of Distress Oxide Inks, using "Antique Linen" for the inner area, edging with "Festive Berries" Distress Oxide Ink.

Masking off the candles, I used Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" grey ink with the Funky Fossil Designs "Vintage Script" stamp, stamped in second generation stamping.

I coloured the candles with a paint brush using "Festive Berries" Distress Oxide Ink and yellow and orange Posca Pens for the flame.

I grounded the candles by painting a shadow using "Weathered Wood" Distress Oxide Ink and added berries to the fir branch using a red Posca Pen.  Finally, mounting the tag on to a piece of grey card.
