Funky Fossil Designs 20% Off Easter Discount Code

Sarah over at Funky Fossil Designs is offering a 20% off discount code over the Easter period.  All you need to do is quote "TREAT20" at checkout before midnight Tuesday 19th April to receive the discounted purchase price, which is also on already reduced items!

This morning I've had a quick play using the new Funky Fossil Designs "Architectural" clear stamp set., which I heat embossed using Wow! Clear Embossing ink and powder over Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink.  I then used two shades of Brusho paint granules (Gamboge and Ost.Red), sprinkled over the image and then spritzed with water.

Once dry, around the edge I used the Funky Fossil "A7 Inky Grid" stamp with Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" grey ink.  I splattered black and white paint from Posca Pens across the surface and added some dots of "Ruby Red" Liquid Pearls.

Funky Fossil Designs "Prehistoric" Grunge Card

The past few weeks I've been in Lavinia and Penny Black mode.  This afternoon, I felt an urge to play with my Funky Fossil Designs goodies, creating this card.

In my stash of previously made backgrounds, I found a page from an accountancy book which I had used to mop up Distress Oxide Inks from my glass mat, so I decided to use this for the base. All stamping is in various shades of Versafine Clair Inks.

For the central image, I used the Funky Fossil "Prehistoric" stamp set.

Around the edge of the central image I used a Funky Fossil stencil called "Abstract Pattern" with a brown Distress Ink.

I then used two of the Funky Fossil A7 stamps in the corners "Grungy" and "Inky Grid".

Finally, using a white Derwent Inktense pencil, I lightened the central stamped image.  I used white and red Posca Pens to add splatters across the surface too.

Funky Fossil Designs "Wired For Sound" Card

I made this card for a male friend who will be celebrating his birthday next week.  I often find it a struggle to make cards for a male, but thought this would be ideal for him.

I've used the Funky Fossil Designs "Wired For Sound" stamp set which includes the cassette tape and the sentiments.  I've stamped them in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink and then coated with Wow! clear embossing powder and heat set.

I created a mask for the cassette case and then stamped the Funky Fossil A7 "Inky Grid" stamp in Versafine Clair "Warm Breeze" ink.

Finally, once I had lifted the mask, I used "Weathered Wood" Distress Oxide Ink, applied with a paint brush to paint the casette.

Funky Fossil "Graffiti Wall" stencil

I've been playing today with Funky Fossil products, creating this grungey style card.

I've used a sheet of the Funky Fossil "Texture" patterned paper as the base and then laid the Funky Fossil "Graffiti Wall" stencil over the top, applying three shades of Distress Oxide Ink through the stencil (Rusty Hinge, Candied Apple and Rustic Wilderness).

I used the Funky Fossil A7 "Inky Grid" stamp for the corner details and their "Artsy" stamp set for the main sentiment, both stamped in Versafine Clair "Twilight" ink.  Finally, I inked the edges and added some splatters of Posca Pen.
