Tiffany Johnson Creative #100daysartplay Challenge - Day 11

We're in the second week of Tiffany Johnson Creative #100daysartplay challenge.  This week is all about stencils and this is the tag that I have made for Day 11.

I've used a white piece of card and the Funky Fossil "Broken Mosaic" stencil with three shades of Ranger Archival Ink, using Shadow Grey, Prickly Pear and Garden Patina colours.

Over the top of the mosaic designs, I used the Stampin' up "Crackle Paint" stamp with Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" grey ink.

Next, I used "Mangalnese Blue" Ranger Archival Ink through the Funky Fossil "Dots and Dashes" stencil.

I added some white splatters using a Posca Pen. Finally, using Versafine Clair "Medieval Blue" ink with the Clarity Stamps "Quote Set" for the central sentiment.

Woodware Teasels on a Brusho background

I had a quick play with one of my favourite stamps this morning.  It's the Woodware "Teasels - JGS329".

I'd found a multi coloured Brusho background I'd made some time ago and thought it would be perfect.  I stamped the teasels in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink.  I then used a Stampin' Up "Crackle Paint" stamped with Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" to create more depth to the background.

I coloured the teasels using a gold metallic pen and inked the edges of the card.

I'm really happy wiht the finished look of this card, especially as it was so quick to create.

Adventure Card

Late last night I had the urge to make something and ended up with this card.  I had no agenda, just took a selection of things out and put them together.  It was nice not to think about placement etc.  In hindsight I would have done it different but I still like the piece, likely more to do with the colours used.

I found a piece of card where I had unsuccessfully attempted the "Bleeding Tissue" technique, but as the colours were to my liking I thought I'd make use of the piece.  I added extra colour to the edges of the card using "Broken China" and "Mowed Lawn" Distress Oxide Ink.

I used a Stampin' Up stamp called "Crackle Paint" with Versafine "Vintage Sepia" brown ink.  I then stamped the Carabelle Studdio feather, part of their "3 Plumes SA60284" stamp set, in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink. Using the same ink I added some pattern around the edge of the card using a honeycomb design stamp and a small sentiment saying "Live The Life You've Imagined" both by Stampers Anonymous.

I added some black and white splatters to the surface using Posca Pens, before adhering the sentiment, cut on the Brother Scan n Cut SDX1200 machine.
