Tim Holtz, Stampers Anonymous "Pressed Foliage CMS376" Card

I feel like it's ages since I made a card, as I've been making the tags, so I addressed that this morning making this card using a handful of Stampers Anonymous/Tim Holtz products.

Using Versafine Clair "Twilight" ink, I stamped the leaf, (Part of the Stampers Anonymous "Pressed Foliage CMS376" stamp set), I then stamped the leaf again on a Post-It note, cut around the leaf and used that as a mask to cover the leaf on the card.

I used three Archival Inks (Pink Peony, Violet and Forget-me-not) through the Stampers Anonymous "String Layering Stencil THS103".  I thought the colour looked too vibrant, so I dulled it down by using "Watering Can" Archival Ink through a section of another Stampers Anonymous stencil (THMM101, sorry I don't know what it's called).  This produced the more muted look I was after.

Removing the paper mask, I coloured the leaf using three shades of Derwent Inktense Water Colour pencils (two blues and one green), applied with a brush.  I went around some of the edges of the leaf using a 2B pencil as I wanted it to stand out a little more. I then splattered fine dots of white paint across the surface of the card and added a few dots of black Posca Pen too.

Finally, using Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" grey ink, I stamped the "Just for you" sentiment, which is part of the Lavinia Stamps "Heartfelt Verse" stamp set.
