Happily Ever After Wedding Card

I've made this clean and simple wedding card today, using Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" grey ink to stamp the birds and the hearnin the middle of the card.  The stamp is from an old magazine (Creative Stamping Issue 71).  I then added the sentiment in the same ink.  The "happily ever after" is by Papertrey Ink and is part of their Love lives here" stamp set.

I added a circle mask over the stamped area and then lay the Lavinia Stamps "Replenish" stencil over the top, applying "Weathered Wood" Distress Oxide Ink through the stencil.

I coloured the central stamped image using Distress Oxide Inks, applied with a paint brush,  the colours I used are:Spun Sugar and Tumbled Glass for the birds.  Picked Raspberry for the heart and Weathered wood to ground the birds.

52 Week Mini Art Card / Tag Challenge 2026 - Week 22

The Crafting Niche 52 Week Mini Art Card/Tag Challenge 2026:

This is a weekly challenge. I provide you with a prompt/theme each Sunday morning through out the year.  The challenge is very relaxed.  You can do as much or as little as you like.  You can create cards, tags, Artist Trading Cards (ATC's) or index cards, the choice is yours. You just go with what ever is in your head at the time.  You can stamp, get inky, use patterned papers, texture, embellish it is all down to you.

There is a dedicated private Facebook Group, with a lovely bunch of people who are already sharing their makes from previous challenges.  You can find the group by clicking this link.  I'd love you to join in.

The prompt for Week 22 is "Wedding Season".

This tag is a mash-up of three brands of stamps & stencils, from Lavinia Stamps, Penny Black Stamps, Papertrey Ink and Funky Fossil Designs.  I've used lots of different inks too, so the description may be a bit long.

I started with a cream coloured tag, stamping the Penny Black hedgehogs, which are part of their "every which way - 30-008" clear stamp set, stamping in Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" grey ink.  I then painted Pebeo drawing gum, a masking fluid over the top of the stamped image.

Next I used the same ink to stamp the arch, which is the Lavinia Stamps "Arch of angels" stamp. I used the Funky Fossil Designs "Brick Wall stencil" with four shades of Ranger Archival Inks through the stencil and to colour the church door.  The shades of ink I used are: Chrome Yellow, Leaf Green, Tea Rose and Shadow Grey.

In front of the church door, I stamped the Lavinia Stamps "Texture 3" stamp, again in "Morning Mist" grey ink. I used two Lavinia Stamps for the foliage around the door,  The stamps I used are: Leaf Creeper and Foliage Set, stamped using two shades of Versafine Clair green ink.  the colours I used are:  Shady Lane and Rain Forest.  I then used a lilac and white coloured Posca Pens to create the impression of flowers.

I removed the dry masking fluid from the hedgehogs and coloured them ink using a paint brush with Distress Oxide Inks.  The colours I used are Weathered Wood, Victorian Velvet, Spun Sugar and Tattered Rose.

I then used three shades of Distress Oxide Inks with a blending brush round the edge of the tag,  The colours I used are:  Bundled Sage, Peeled Paint and Walnut Stain.

I stamped one of the Lavinia Stamps "Fairy Charms" to hang over the hedgehogs.  Finally, I then used Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" grey ink to stamp the Papertrey Ink sentiment, saying "happily ever after...", which is part of their "Love Lives Here" stamp set.

Papertrey Ink "Home is where the heart is" card

For this card, I started with a 4x4" piece of card, creating a band of colour through the middle using three shades of Distress Oxide Inks.  The colours I used are: Mermaid Lagoon, Salvaged Patina and Cracked Pistachio.

While the ink was drying, I die cut the white trellis, which is a Gummiapan die. I used a wet glue to stick the lattice over the inked background.

Next I used Versafine Clair "Twilight" dark blue ink to stamp the sentiment on to the card and the house on to a piece of plain white card.  I used the Papertrey Ink stamp set called "Love Lives Here" for both. Onced glued into position on the card, I used a red Posca Pen to colour in the central heart.

Papertrey Ink "Love Lives Here" New Home Card

For this "New Home" card, I've used assorted patterned papers in my stash to make this card, using the Papertrey Ink die set called "Love Lives Here" for the houses, with the "Welcome sentiment being part of their stamp set called "Winter Hills".  The sentiment is stamped in Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" grey ink.  I've added touches of gold coloured gel pen on this card too.

Day 5 of Karen Telfer's "24 Days of Tags 2023" challenge

This is the tag that I made for Day 5 of Karen Telfer's 24 Days of Tags 2023 challenge.  I didn't have a die or stamp remotely close to the ones that Karen used, so I went for a home tag instead.

I used a Funky Fossil Die set for the word "Home" and for the "House" shape.  I cut two houses, one in pink card, which I then mounted on to a piece of darker pink card for the swing tag. I then used the white one like a stencil with "Pink Peony" Ranger Archival Ink to create the background pattern.

I stuck the "Home" die cut on to the tag and then used a Papertrey Ink stamp set called "Love Lives Here" for the wording, stamped in Versafine Clair "Charming Pink" ink.  I used the same ink to edge the tag, before mounting it on to a piece of white card.

Finally, I used pink and white "Bakers Twine" to tie the small tag to the main tag.

Stencilled "New Home" Card

Do you find that some months are busier than others when it comes to things to celebrate.  July is one of those months and on top of the usual birthdays and anniversaries there are a couple of new home cards needed too.

Today, I decided to be disciplined and at least tick one of the cards off the list of pending makes. For this card, I have used products from several copanies.

I started by using two shades of Archival Inks (Pink Peony and Violet) through the Lavinia Stamps "Replenish Stencil" on the outer edges of a white card blank.

I then cut a piece of white card 4" square and used low tack masking tape to mask off the edges.I used the same shades of Archival  Inks through the same stencil in the central area of the card. Then removed the masking tape.

Next I die cut the little house shape.  The die is part of the Papertrey Ink stamp an die set called "Love Lives Here".  I cut two houses, sandwiching them together with glue.  I then coated the top one with Versafine Clair "Purple Delight" ink.  I then stuck the house into the central stencilled area of the card.

I used Versafine Clair "Purple Delight" to stamp the sentiment, which is part of the Funky Fossil Designs stamp set called "Home".

I then assembled the card, mounting the inner area on a co-ordinating piece of card before sticking it on to the stencilled card front.

Stampers Anonymous "Mini Bouquet CMS269" New Home Card

A good friend asked if I would make a new home card for a special aunt.  I actually don't make cards for other people.  I don't like the stress iand pressure it puts me under, so I usually decline.  But I made an exception this time.  The brief I had was flowers.

I used a Stampers Anonymous stamp set called "Mini Bouquet - CMS269" for the flowers, stamped in Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" grey ink.  I used the same ink for the Papertrey Ink sentiment which is part of the "Love Lives Here" clear stamp set, which I then heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

I used a selection of Distress Oxide Inks, applied by a paint brush.  I used the "Antique Linen" Distress Oxide Ink for the background colour.  I added white highlights with a Posca Pen and a subtle gold shimmer using a Sakura Gelly Roll pen.
