Day 6 of the "24 Days of Tags" 2021 challenge with Karen Telfer (using Lavinia Stamps)

This is my Day 6 tag for Karen Telfer's "24 Days of Tags" 2021 challenge.  Today the brief was to reverse the colours.

For my tag, I have used Seedless Preserve and Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Inks to cover the base of the tag.  Then I have reversed the colours through the Lavinia Stamps "White Orbs Stencil" so the light orbs on the dark background and the dark orbs on the light background.

I have stamped in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink using the following Lavinia Stamps:  Star Cluster, Three Dancing Fairies, Christmas Charms and the Fairy Merry Christmas sentiment stamp.

Lavinia Stamps January 2020 Monthly Challenge - Moonlight Magic

On the first of each month, Lavinia Stamps announce a new monthly challenge theme.  The theme for January 2020 is "Moonlight Magic".  You can enter the challenge up to five times in one month.  If your name is randomly drawn after the 25th of the month, you will receive £40 vouchers to spend on lovely Lavinia goodies.

I made a tag as my second challenge sample, it has a beautiful sparkle which I hope you can see from my little video clip.

I started by giving my tag a coat of "Faded Jeans" Distress Oxide Ink.  Then at the top of the tag I blended in a darker shade of Distress Oxide Ink called "Chipped Sapphire".

My next step was to stamp the "Fairy Barnacles" at the bottom of the tag using Versafine Clair "Fantasia" purple ink.

I dragged an anti-static bag across the surface to the tag then using Wow! Clear Embossing Pad, I stamped the "Fairy Dandelions", coating them in Wow! Super Fine Metallic Silver Embossing Powder and set with a heat gun.

I repeated the process stamping the "Meadow Grass" with the clear embossing pad and using Wow! "Silent Night" embossing powder which is a dark grey/black with a beautiful sparkle to it.  I again set it with the heat gun.

I stamped the fairy, which is part of the "Three Dancing Fairies" stamp set in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" Black ink.  I added some touches of sparkle to her wings and around her using a Silver Glitter Signo Pen.

Lavinia Stamps New Stamp Preview - "Tree of Dreams"

Tracey Dutton of Lavinia Stamps has been busy creating some fabulous designs, which in turn have been made into clear stamps.  The tree on this card is called "The Tree Of Dreams".  It is a stunning piece and will compliment the existing Lavinia range perfectly.

The launch of the new collection of stamps will be at the NEC  in Birmingham (stand A19) on Thursday 31st October.

I used a blotchy coloured background using the follwoign Distress Oxide Inks:  Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, Cracked Pistachio, Picked Raspberry, Carved Pumpkin and Salty ocean.

I used the "Carved Pumpkin" Distress Oxide ink through a Visible Image stencil called "Time Tunnel" to created the curved twirl look.

All the stamping was done in Versafine Clair "Monarch" ink, first the new stamp "Tree of Dreams", next I stamped "Darcy" from the "Small Rory & Darcy Set" (the little girl figure), then the fairy, which is part of the "Three Dancing Fairies" set of stamps.  The sentiment "Every Dream" is also one of the new release stamps.

I created the landscape using "Seedless Preserve" Distress Oxide ink and the torn edge of a piece of copy paper.

I added white highlights to the tree and figures using a Signo Pen.  For the creeper on the tree, I used a Sakura Gelly Roll pen and for the green dots, I used a shade of Liquid Pearls called "Mermaid"
