Lavinia Stamps "Dream" card / journal page

I've had a messy, but enjoyable couple of hours making this card/journal page today,

I started with a square piece of white card which I lightly spritzed with water.  I lay the Lavinia Stamps "Charming" stencil over the top then lightly sprinkled two shades of Colourcraft "Brusho" paint granules over the surface.  The colours I used were Gamoge and Sea Green.  I removed the stencil and used a heat gun to dry the surface.

I then used Versafine Clair "Warm Breeze" ink to stamp the two corners using the Lavinia Stamps "Tangled River Root Corner stamp.

Next, I used two shades of Versafine Clair ink (Cheerful and Summertime) to stamp the Lavinia "Texture 1" stamp.  Using Versafine Clair "Twilight" dark blue ink, I stamped the word "Dream" which is part of a Lavinia stamp set called "Inspire me".

On an off cut of the Brusho background, I stamped the Lavinia verse called "Magic Surrounds Us" in Versafine Clair "Warm Breeze" ink.  I then tore the piece into two sections and then tore the edges, inking them with Versafine Clair "Summertime" orange ink.

I used Versafine Clair "Summertime Ink to stamp the Lavinia "Moss Flowers" stamps, which I then fussy cut and stuck on to the card.

Finally, I added yellow dots of Posca Pen on to the corner details. I added dots of "Prickly Pear" Liquid Peals to the middle of the flowers and also to some of the now yellow dots to add variety.

52 Week Mini Art Card / Tag Challenge 2025 - Week 3

The Crafting Niche 52 Week Mini Art Card/Tag Challenge 2025:

This is a weekly challenge. I provide you with a prompt/theme each Sunday morning through out the year.  The challenge is very relaxed.  You can do as much or as little as you like.  You can create cards, tags, Artist Trading Cards (ATC's) or index cards, the choice is yours. You just go with what ever is in your head at the time.  You can stamp, get inky, use patterned papers, texture, embellish it is all down to you.

There is a dedicated private Facebook Group, with a lovely bunch of people who are already sharing their makes from previous challenges.  You can find the group by clicking this link.  I'd love you to join in.

The prompt for Week 3 is "Film Title"

•••

For my Week 3 "Film Title" tag, I started with a white tag using two shades of Distress Oxide Inks to colour the background.  The two colours I used were Kitsch Flamingo and Worn Lipstick.

I lay the Funky Fossil Designs "Heart Lines" stencil over the tag and applied "Festive Berries" Distress Oxide through the stencil using a blending brush.

Next, I used the Lavinia Stamps "Heart Shaped Sticker Stencil" with two shades of purple Distress Oxide Ink.  For the heart in the background, I used "Wilted Violet", for the heart in the foreground, I used "Willainous Potion" ink.

I used the Lavinia Stamps set called "Inspire Me" to stamp the word "Love", using Versafine Clair "Monarch" purple ink.  I used the same ink to colour the edges of the tag, before mounting it on to a piece of navy blue coloured card.

On the computer, I printed the word"...actually", coloured the white background with some pink ink left on my blending brush, then cut it to size and edged it with a gold coloured pen.

Masking off the tag, exposing the darker of the two hearts, I then splattered gold coloured paint over the surface of the heart.  Finally, adding some dots of "Blackberry" Liquid Pearls across the surface of the tag.

Lavinia Stamps "Zia" and the "Tree of Dreams".

I have no idea where this card came from in my head.  The only thing that I had in my mind was to use the Lavinia Stamps "Zia" as I've never used her before and she has been in my stash since the Steampunk collection were released.

I stamped "Zia" in Versafine Clair "Acorn" in second generation stamping, so that the image was quite light.  I then stamped another "zia" on a piece of scrap paper, fussy cut it and placed over the other one to use as a mask.

I then stamped the Lavinia "Texture 1" stamp in Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" either side of the face.

While the mask was in position, I stamped the "Tree of Dreams" in Versafine Clair "Acorn" brown ink. I used the same ink to multi stamp teh "Small Branch".

Over the Texture area and the "Tree of Dreams , I used a blending brush with "Antique Linen" Distress Oxide ink.  I decided to add a little brown and green to the background by using the Archival Inks called "Coffee" and "Leaf Green"

I removed the mask and coloured Zia's face using three shades of Distress Oxide Inks:  Tatterred Rose, Spun Sugar and Picked Raspberry applied with a brush.  I coloured her lips and eyes using a green Derwent Inktense Pencils.

I then started work on the hair area using the small Lavinia Pound stamp called "Mini Leaf Creeper" stamped in first and second generation stamping in Versafine Clair "Verdant" and Shady Lane.

I edged the card using "Bluebird" Archival Ink.  I then stamped the bird, part of the Lavinia "Birds Collection" in Versafine Clair "Acorn" brown ink.

Finally, I added touches of white gel pens to the hair/leaf area.  I added the sentiment of "Dream" which is part of the "Inspire Me" stamp set, stamped in Verafine Clair "Morning Mist" grey ink.

Lavinia Stamps "Indra the Moth" on an archival ink background

Inspired by a demo by Eileen Godwin, I created this card.  For the base colour, I used three shades of Elements Inks:  Sundance, Confetti and Della Blue.

Here's a short video clip which shows the glittery surface of Indra.

I used Wow! "Mistletoe Magic" embossing powder and their clear ink pad to stamp the moth image and then heat set.

I used Archival Inks through several Lavinia Stamps stencils:  Dynamic, Elegance and Posy.  Using White Pan Pastel through "White Orbs" stencil.

Using "Purple Delight" Versafine Clair ink, I stamped the "See a fairy make a wish" verse.

I stamped the "Inspire" word, part of the Lavinia "Inspire Me" stamp set in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink.

I inked the edges of the card twice.  The first time using "Twilight" dark blue ink creating a broader coloured edge, then on the very edge, I used "Nocturne" to make the whole thing stand out a bit more.

I used a white Signo gel pen on the moth to highlight some of the design on the moth.

I then used white and black enamel accents for extra detail, finally mounting the card on to a white card blank.

Sweet Poppy Stencils "Phoenix" SP1-136 Card

For the background of this card I have used a background made from mopping up Distress Inks from previous projects.  A real mish-mash of colours that I felt would likely only work with something black on it.

I decided to use the Sweet Poppy Stencil "Phoenix" (SP1-136) stencil with Versafine Clair 'Nocturne" black ink through the stencil, applied with a blending brush.

I used the same ink to stamp the Lavinia Stamps "Dream" sentiment, which is part of the "Inspire Me" stamp set.  Finally adding a few splatters of black and white Posca Pen paint.
