Lavinia Stamps Ocean Scene featuring "Flo"

I've had a play with my Lavinia Stamps this morning creating this ocean scene.

I used a cling wrap background I had created some time ago, enhanced with areas of Distress Oxide Inks. All stamping is in various shades of Versafine Clair inks.  I used a selection of Lavinia Stamps for this piece, including Flo, Fish Set, Shoal of fish, Sea Creatures, Marine Kelp, Seaweed and Sea Bubbles.

I added extra colour to areas using coloured pencils, a shimmer to areas with a metallic silver pen and highlights using a white Poscal pen.

Lavinia Stamps Fish Set Gelli Plate and Stencil Card

Today I have been playing with the new Lavinia Stamps again.  I don't seem to be able to stop at the moment!

I've used a gelli plate background I had made a couple of months ago using Brusho and Colorbox inks.  I used the new Lavinia Pebble stencil with Distress Oxide inks around the edge of the central coloured image.

I stamped the following Lavinia Stamps (Fish Set, Urchins, Seaweed2, Marine Kelp and Zen Plant) in a selection of Versafine Clair Inks, adding a few touches with Sakura gelly roll pen.

Lavinia Stamps "Flo" Mixed Media Card

I seem to have managed to gather lots of bits and bobs on my desk, so I've gathered them together in bags of different colours.  These are some of the bits in my blue/turquoise bag.

Obviously, the colours lend themselves to a watery themed projects, so I decided to bite the bullet and use some of them.

If you've followed my blog for a while, you will be aware that I really struggle to be informal with my makes.  Everything tends to be very formal and thought goes in to the position of pieces.  I just can't do informal. So making this type of project is a big thing to me.

A friend told me a couple of days ago, to just try to empty your head and position things without thinking.  I tried, but I just can't do it.  This is as random as I can get!

The central image is one of the new Lavinia Stamps called "Flo" the fish.  I've also used smaller versions of "Flo" which are part of the Lavinia "Fish Set".

I've also used the new "Marine Kelp" stamp, the "Mini Sea Urchin", the "Zen Plant"  and an off cut of a piece I made months ago which has the "Bonnet Set" stamped in two shades.
