52 Week Mini Art Card/Tag Challenge
Lavinia Stamps will be appearing on Hochanda TV with some fabulous stamps and accessories on Friday 22nd November at 10am and 3pm.
I am very fortunate to be part of the Lavinia Stamps Design Team, which means I get to play with the new products and create samples for their shows.
For this card, I used a background of spinkled Brusho paint granules oncto damp card (Purple, Violet and Midnight Blue). I then sprinkled Cosmic Shimmer "Silver Dream" on top of the Brusho which has created a beautiful shimmery background.
I stamped the "Enchanted Dreams" and the first two lines of the "See A Fairy" verse in Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink.
Using the torn edge of a piece of copy paper, I dragged ink in a downwards direction with a blender to create the landscape.
I used the top of the "Single Fairy Thistle", stmaped in Versafine Clair "Morning Mist" greyn ink to create tiny foliage growing along the landscape.
Lavinia Stamps will be on Hochanda TV with some fabulous stamps and accessories. The shows will be on Friday 22nd November at 10am and 3pm, hope you'll be able to watch it, or at least pop it on record for later.
I created the swirl background using Distress Oxide Inks and a paint brush, suing: Tumbled Glass, Broken China and Blueprint Sketch.
I stamped the "See A Fairy" verse in Versafine Clair "Smokey Gray" ink.
I stamped the "Enchanted Dreams" (fairy on snail) using Versafine Clair "Nocturn" black ink. I then created the landscape using a torn edge of copy paper, dragging the ink down to create the impression of land behind the snail.
I then stamped the "Single Fairy Thistle" multiple times using Versafine Clair "Blue Belle" ink. I also stamped the same image, in Versafine Clair "Twilight" (just the head) onto rice paper.
On the reverse of the rice paper, I dragged the "Wilted Violet Distress Oxide ink. I then cut the seed heads out and adhered over the top of the original ones on the card. This gave a more dominant colour to them. I added white highlights to the thistles.
I coloured the edge of the card using two shades of Distress Oxide Inks: Faded Jeans and Chipped Sapphire. Finally, I added some dots of Liquid Pearls, in a "Blackberry" shade to the top of the thistles.
