Christmas Wreath Card
I started creating this card with a totally different end result, but somehow it morphed into a Christmas Wreath card.
I started by stamping the deer head (in Versafine Vintage Sepia Ink), which was part of a stamp and die set I received free with a magazine a few years back.
Looking through my stamp sets that I've had with magazines, I came across some foliage stamps which came with "Creative Stamping - Special Edition 1" . I stamped the various foliage in three shades of Versafine Clair ink: Chianti, Shady Lane and Pinecone.
I decided that the white background was too stark, so I gave it a softer look by applying "Antique Linen" Distress Oxide Ink with a blender.
I coloured the deer head using Distress Oxide Inks in the following shades (with a paint brush): Brushed Corduroy, Antique Linen and Tea Dye.
I stamped the "peace" sentiment between the antlers. The stamp is from a Papertrey Ink stamp set called "Merry and Bright Additions".
Finally, I added Liquid Pearls in a "Ruby Red" shade for berries, highlighting areas with a white Signo Pen.
