Lavinia Stamps "Three Kings and a Star" Christmas Card

I've used one of the older Lavinia Stamps in my stash "Three kings and a star" for this Christams card.

I started by using five shades of Element Inks for the sky.  The colours I used are:  Sundance, Russet Orange, Paprika, Dark Denim and Midnight Blue.

I cut some white card, to create a 3D hill look, then using Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink to stamp the three kings.

I used two shades of Distress Oxide Inks for the ground, using Lost Shadow and Antique Linen.  I then used Hero Arts "Unicorn" white ink to stamp the star. I used a white gel pen to add smaller dots to the sky to replicate stars.

Finally, I used Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black ink to stamp the sentiment, which is part of the Lavinia Stamps "Christmas Greetings" stamp set.

  1. Oh what a fab card Sam, and I just love the colours you have used for the sky and the white star stands out beautifully, and the white hilly background with the three wise men on their camels..I love the lighter tone for the more distant wise man which gives great perspective. x
