Versafine Clair 2026 inks

Today, I received my order of the six new colours of Versafine Clair Inks for 2026.  I ordered them from Inkylicious for an amazingly low price of £27 plus £3 postage - a real bargain compared with the other prices I have seen for the same inks.

My Versafine Clair ink drawers were a little on the messy side, so while I had all the inks out on my desk, I decided to make colour swatch cards.  Quite often the inks are quite different to the colours on the lids, so I like to actually make my own charts rather than printing something out. I left the Nocturne (black) and Morning Mist (grey) off the list as I know the colour they come out

Funky Fossil Designs "Ampersand" die card

I made this card yesterday but forgot to upload it here.  I have used the Funky Fossil Designs "Micro Dot" stencil in the background with "Spun Sugar" Distress Ink.

I then used the Funky Fossil "Ampersand" shaped die (I think this was part of their "Love and" stamp and die set), for the central image, backing it in white card. I then used one of the foliage dies from the Funky Fossil "Doodle Blooms" die set and cut them in wite, arranging and sticking them into position on the card.

I used  Versafine Clair "Hawthorn Rose" pink ink to stamp the sentiments, which are part of the Funky Fossil Designs "Stripped Back Sentiments" stamp set.

Finally, I layered and mounted the piece onto a white suare card and added some dots of white Ranger "Enamel Accents" to complete the card.

Golden Skeleton Leaves Tag

I had a play in the craft room for an hour this afternoon, making this tag.

I used a white tag for the base using "Rusty Hinge" Distress Ink, spritzed and smooshed over the surface, drying with a heat gun and then repeating the process.

I then used Versafine Clair "Warm Breeze" ink to stamp the Funky Fossil Designs "Vintage Script" stamp on the two long edges of the tag.

Next I used "Carved Pumpkin" Distress Ink through the Tim Holtz./ Stampers Anonymous THMM101 dot stencil. I used a black Posca Pen to make some splatters over the surface of the tag.

I used some Funky Fossil patterned paper to die cut the leaves.  I drew around the leaves on the tag then added a layer of glue and applied gold coloured Cosmic Shimmer "Gilding Flakes",  brushhing off the surplus, I then glued the leaves into position.

I inked the edges of the tag using "Ground Espresso" Distress Oxide ink, then mounted the tag on to a piece of co-ordinating card.

Finally, I used a gold coloured gel pen to draw around the leaves.  I put some gold coloured "Stickles" on to a piece of paper and applied tiny areas of the sparkle using my finger tip.

52 Week Mini Art Card / Tag Challenge 2026 - Week 11

The Crafting Niche 52 Week Mini Art Card/Tag Challenge 2026:

This is a weekly challenge. I provide you with a prompt/theme each Sunday morning through out the year.  The challenge is very relaxed.  You can do as much or as little as you like.  You can create cards, tags, Artist Trading Cards (ATC's) or index cards, the choice is yours. You just go with what ever is in your head at the time.  You can stamp, get inky, use patterned papers, texture, embellish it is all down to you.

There is a dedicated private Facebook Group, with a lovely bunch of people who are already sharing their makes from previous challenges.  You can find the group by clicking this link.  I'd love you to join in.

The prompt for Week 11 is "Songs / Rhymes".

I decided to create a tag, based on "Ten Green Bottles, Sitting On The Wall".  For the lower secion of this tag, I used three shades of Ranger Archival Inks, using Shadow Grey, Leaf Green and Orange Blossom colours of ink, through the Lavinia Stamps "Red Brick Stencil". I used "Sky Blue" Archival Ink for the sky area above the wall.

On a piece of white card, I used Versafine Clair "Rain Forest" to stamp the Papermania "Beer Bottle - PMA10124".  I then arranged them into position and once happy, glued them down.

I used the computer to type and print the words "Ten Green Bottles" the title for my tag.  It's a song my siblings and I would enjoy singing when we were young.  Finally, I used a 3B pencil, a black fine liner pen to add shadows.

Once dry, I drew round a lid using a black fine liner pen, adding some dots on the line at intervals. I then drew round a smaller lid with the same pen, but added close lines across the surface of the circle.

Next, rummaging through my box of paper off-cuts, I found two circles.  On the larger, mid blue coloured one, I used Versaifine Clair ""Warm Breeze" to stamp the Funky Fossil Designs "Halftone Fragments" stamp..On the smaller circle, I used a white gel pen to add smal polka dots, then glued the discs into position.

Finally, I added the signature bird from a Dina Wakley collage paper set and a Tim Holtz "idea-ology" word sticker, saying "Cherish".
