For this Artist Trading Card (ATC), I created the background of this card, I have repeatedly stamped a shell from an old Hero Arts wooden stamp set called "Little Shells - LL738". I have then used Versafine Clair "Sand Dune" a beige coloured ink for the edges, dragging the ink pad across the surface to provide a more distressed appearance.
I then used the water, wading birds, reeds and birds from the Stampin' Up "High Tide" stamp set, with Versafine Clair "Nocturne" black and "Morning Mist" grey ink. I gave the card a light wash of blue ink, using "Tumbled Glass" Distress Oxide ink, then edged the card in black Versafine Clair "Ncoturne" ink, finally adding a word sticker saying "Memories".
I love this sea themed ATC Sam, and the wading birds and reeds look great over the softer tone of ink for the added shells over the whole background, and darker inked edge brings your eyes into the wonderful scene. x
